OVERVIEW

GoferPost connects to Claude through a remote MCP connector, so you
can run your social media work straight from a Claude conversation.
Once connected, Claude can read your brands, posts, campaigns, ideas,
and analytics, draft and schedule content in your brand voice, and
publish to your connected accounts -- all with your permission and
without ever seeing your password.

WHAT YOU CAN DO FROM CLAUDE

After connecting, just ask Claude in plain language:

  - "What brands do I have in GoferPost?"
  - "Show me this week's scheduled posts for Acme Coffee."
  - "Draft an Instagram caption for our fall launch in my brand voice."
  - "Schedule that for Friday at 9am."
  - "How did last month's posts perform?"

Claude uses GoferPost's tools to do the work and shows you the result.
Drafting and planning never go live on their own -- publishing and
scheduling always ask you to confirm first.

HOW TO CONNECT

You add GoferPost from inside Claude using one connector URL. The whole
setup takes about 30 seconds.

  1. Copy your connector URL from GoferPost.
Go to Settings -> Connected Apps and copy the URL shown under
"Connect to Claude" (it is https://api.goferpost.com/mcp).

  2. In Claude, open Settings -> Connectors.
This works in Claude on the web (claude.ai) and in the Claude
     desktop app.

  3. Click "Add custom connector", give it a name (for example
"GoferPost"), and paste the connector URL. Save.

  4. Click "Connect". Claude opens a browser tab.

  5. Sign in to GoferPost if you are not already, then review the
     permission screen and click "Approve".

  6. The tab closes and Claude shows GoferPost as Connected. You can
now ask Claude to work in GoferPost.

PERMISSIONS YOU APPROVE

When you connect, GoferPost asks you to approve three permissions on a
consent screen. You can see exactly what each one does before approving:

  Read your content
View your brands, posts, campaigns, ideas, and analytics.

  Draft and plan content
Create and edit drafts and plan your calendar. Nothing is
published from this -- drafts stay drafts until you decide.

  Publish on your behalf
Publish or schedule posts live to your connected social accounts.
Every publish and schedule is confirmed in the conversation first,
and Claude shows its own approval prompt the first time it uses a
    tool.

Claude never receives your password. It receives a limited, expiring
access token tied only to the permissions you approve.

MANAGING AND DISCONNECTING

You stay in control of the connection:

  - To disconnect: go to Settings -> Connected Apps in GoferPost and
click "Disconnect" next to the connector. Access is revoked and
Claude can no longer act on your account.

  - You can also remove the connector from Claude's own
    Settings -> Connectors list.

  - Changing your GoferPost password (either from Settings or the
"forgot password" flow) automatically disconnects any connected
    Claude session.

REQUIREMENTS

  - Custom / remote connectors in Claude are available on Claude's
paid plans. If you do not see "Add custom connector", check your
    Claude plan.
  - You need a GoferPost account. The connection acts only on the
brands and content in that account.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  - "It won't connect / I get an error after approving."
Make sure the connector URL is exactly https://api.goferpost.com/mcp
with no trailing slash or extra characters.

  - "Claude didn't ask me to sign in."
You were probably already signed in to GoferPost in that browser.
The permission screen still appears so you can approve access.

  - "I approved the wrong permissions."
Disconnect from Settings -> Connected Apps and reconnect; you will
    see the permission screen again.

  - "Publishing didn't happen."
Publishing asks you to confirm first. If you did not confirm, or
the brand has no connected social account, nothing is posted --
check Settings -> Connected Apps and your brand's connected
    accounts.
